Abundant Life Miracle Center, Inc. (ALMC) is a family-focused christ church in New Bern NC, that offers sound biblical teaching in a loving and nurturing environment where you can grow spiritually, exercise your ministry gifts, and influence your generation with the love of Jesus Christ.

George E. Royal, Sr. has faithfully declared the Gospel for over 35 years. As the founding pastor of Abundant Life Miracle Center, Inc., he is a man of vision and a profound teacher of the Scriptures. His outstanding devotion to God and to God’s people is exemplary.

He is a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor. He is a former Counselor with Craven County Schools and a former Social Worker with the Craven County Department of Social Services.

EDUCATION

Pastor Royal is a graduate of Winston-Salem State University and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Christian Counseling and a Doctorate Degree in Biblical Counseling.

FAMILY

Pastor Royal has been married to First Lady Hazel Becton Royal for 46 years, and she assists him in ministry as Administrative Pastor. Their two children and five grandchildren also serve with them in ministry.

Ordained in ministry since 1991, Pastor Hazel is an anointed teacher of the Word of God and a dedicated prayer intercessor who wholeheartedly believes in the transforming power of the Word. Through her own experiences with adversity, she has developed an unwavering love for God and faith in His Word.

EDUCATION

Pastor Hazel holds a degree in psychology, and she is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in theology.

COMMUNITY SERVICE

As director of Abundant Life Community Services, Inc., she has worked tirelessly to improve low-resource communities that are faced with disparities in access to basic services. She was a nominee for Craven County’s Distinguished Woman, a recipient of the NC Governor’s Award, and a recipient of the New Bern Sun Journal 52 Faces of Community Recognition. She is also president of the East Coast Coalition of Pastors and Chaplain with the New Bern Police Department.
